Case management is not a profession in itself, but an area of practice within one’s

profession. Its underlying premise is that when an individual reaches the optimum level of wellness and functional capability, everyone benefits: the individual being served, their support systems, and the health care delivery systems and the various reimbursement sources.

Case management serves as a means for achieving client wellness and autonomy through advocacy, communication, education, and identification of service resources and service facilitation. The case manager helps identify appropriate providers and facilities throughout the continuum of services, while ensuring that available resources are being utilized in a timely and cost-effective manner in order to obtain optimum value for both the client and the reimbursement source. Case management services are best offered in a climate that allows direct communication between the case manager, the client, and appropriate healthcare providers, in order to optimize the outcome for all concerned

I. PCS HEALTHCARE CONSULTANTS, INC. will seek partnership with businesses, community resources, and healthcare providers to support services that will have a positive impact on case management, disease management, outcome information management, and medical-legal consultation activities.

II. We will obtain, investigate, and analyze appropriate data; and implement a variety of strategies to foster cost-containment and assessment of cases to enhance the potential for reliable utilization of services.

III. We will assess current programs for accident prevention, injury management, and workers’ compensation cost containment. We work closely with company personnel to develop an/or improve practices that support cost containment strategies, enabling you to control the escalating costs of workers’ compensation claims. Our efforts have proven to save organizations a significant percentage of their claims’ costs by implementing our early intervention case management initiatives.
